KUD Caribrod – Cultural Center Dimitrovgrad

KUD “Caribrod” was formed back in 1947 as a folklore section “Caribrod”. Since then, KUD has been working continuously within the Dimitrovgrad Cultural Center and currently has about thirty choreographies in its repertoire. The repertoire is very specific, because original folklore from Serbia and Bulgaria is cultivated. The members of KUD are mostly of school age from 9 to 20 years and have over 280 members classified in 8 ensembles. In addition, the singing section and the folk orchestra are also active. KUD records numerous guest appearances in the country and abroad (Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Spain, Turkey). KUD Caribrod is the winner of numerous recognitions and awards from performances at festivals (Grand Prix at the festival Primorsko, Republic of Bulgaria, 4 times first place for the best foreign ensemble in Kostinbrod, Republic of Bulgaria, 3 second prizes at the festival in Turkey, first place at the festival in Blace ).
