The Municipal Youth Home was established in 1971. The aim of his team is to work in unison with the needs of young people from Montana. The institution offers alternatives for making sense of their free time, stimulates their creativity, gives the opportunity to express their talents or work for the benefit of society. The youth home is the initiator of various sports and cultural events – national folklore competition “Songs from the Northwest”, table tennis tournaments, photo competitions, culinary competition, sports holidays and others. During the 5 decades of its existence in OMD – Montana, 26 different creative formations and interest clubs have functioned, and currently the following activities are offered: folk dances, sports and cheerleading dances, break and hip-hop, folk singing, aerobics , table tennis, chess, applied arts, Chinese martial arts – Wing Chun and Tai Chi. The well-preserved building stock is the reason why the youth home often hosts various events – concerts, theater performances, festivals, competitions, seminars, trainings and more.
